Korean double eyelid surgery
Korean double eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty is currently a beautiful and advanced cosmetic procedure. Blepharoplasty is recommended to those who have monolids or congenital partial eyelids without excess skin, fat, or eye bags but wish to have naturally beautiful and larger double eyelids.
Blepharoplasty is suitable for clients with:
- The eyelids not drooping due to excess skin.
- Thin eyelid skin without excess fat.
What is the process of Korean double eyelid surgery?
1. Before performing blepharoplasty, the surgeon will make a thin (by marker) on the upper eyelid (to shape and measure the height of the new eyelids) based on preference and desire of the client for the new eyelids after the surgery.
2. Blepharoplasty: About 3 small holes will be created along the previously marked line.
3. The eyelids will be stitched with a thin line in between the tarsal conjunctiva and the eyelid skin.
Post operative care
- The thread will be removed after 5 to 7 days.
- After undergoing blepharoplasty, the eyelids might swell on the first day. To reduce swellings, you should compress ice 4 to 6 times in the first 24 hours so that the eyelids won’t swell and cause pain.
- After undergoing blepharoplasty, you should avoid strenuous work for the first week, and you can resume exercising after 2 weeks.
Advantages:
- The duration of the operation is within 15 minutes.
- Less swelling and painful eyelids, so the recovery time is very short.
- Almost no scarring with and creates naturally beautiful double eyelids as if congenital.
Drawbacks:
- Less effective for customers with excess skin, fat or eye bags in their eyelids.
* The results achieved depend on each individual’s constitutio.
