When reaching the age of aging, your skin can lose its elasticity and become saggy. In this case, butt lift using implants can help improve the buttocks, bring a more attractive and sophisticated look. However, before deciding to proceed with the procedure, you should thoroughly learn about the advantages and disadvantages of this method.
1. What is endoscopic butt lift?
Thanks to the development of modern technology, the method of butt lift using implants is performed by combining it with endoscopic technology to enhance the effectiveness and ensure safetiness for the surgery. This technique is called endoscopic butt lift.
Posterior hip area liposuction is usually combined with endoscopic butt lift to shape the body with a more attractive curve, often called “broken back”. The incision of this surgery will gradually fade after about a month.
This procedure is usually recommended for those who have less developing butt, less fat in the butt, or people with naturally small butt. When combining with posterior hip area liposuction, this procedure will help create a more sophisticated and attractive curve.
2. Advantages when proceeding with butt augmentation using implants
There are a few advantages when proceeding with butt augmentation using implants, including:
- Improve the shape and curvature of the butt: This procedure helps you actively choose the more attractive and appealing shape and curvature of the butt, enhancing the confidence about your outer beauty.
- Less invasive: Compared to the classic surgical method, butt augmentation using implants will be less invasive, resulting in less pain, a short recovery time and lower risks during the entire procedure.
- Dynamic choices about the size and shape: Butt implants vary in sizes and shapes, allowing the surgeons and patient to choose the most suitable procedure to achieve the desired results.
- Quick results: After undergoing butt augmentation using implants, the result can be seen immediately, and will gradually improve over time.
- Short recovery time: The recovery time after undergoing butt augmentation using implants is usually shorter compared to the traditional surgery, enabling the patient to quickly return to their daily routines.
- Effective and prolonged: If being performed by an experienced and specialized surgeon, butt augmentation using implants can yield natural results.
3. Positions of implants in endoscopic butt lift
Butt lift (butt augmentation) under anesthesia: spinal anesthesia or general anesthesia.
3.1 Butt augmentation - placing the implants under the scale (above the muscles)
For this procedure, the implants in endoscopic butt lift are placed under the scale (above the large butt muscles).
- Advantage: Simple surgery, less pain and swellings.
- Disadvantage: The implant is exposed in the future, so butt lift under the scale is less frequent.
3.2 Butt augmentation - placing the implants inside the muscles
For this method, the implants are placed in between the large butt muscles.
- Advantage: Natural, unexposed implants, invisible when touched.
Disadvantage: Hard surgery, with more swellings than placing the implants under the scale.
At Viet My Plastic Surgery Hospital, we mostly perform butt augmentation by placing the implants inside the muscle because this butt lift procedure provides superior results in both aesthetics and post-operative care.
4. The process of endoscopic butt lift surgery
During the butt lift surgery, the surgeon will make an incision at about 4 centimeters at the butt crease. Then, the surgeon will dissect the layer of tissue under the skin and the butt muscles, followed by inserting an endoscope inside.
Through the endoscopic screen, the surgeon will proceed to precisely remove the muscle compartment containing the implants to avoid damaging the nerves and blood vessels.
Thanks to that, endoscopic butt lift surgery will be less bleeding and swelling.
Two drainage tubes will be inserted to reduce swellings and support a quick recovery process. After that, the incision will be sutured using non-absorbable thread.
After a day, the drainage tubes will be removed. You need to wear specialized pants in 2 weeks to reduce swelling and speed up the recovery. In addition, you can lie on your back right after the butt lift, but do not sit during the first 10 days.
5. Post - operative care
Post - operative care plays an important role in achieving the desired results after undergoing the endoscopic butt lift surgery. Below are some of the important points to remember.
- Follow-up: you need to attend the follow up appointment with the doctor as scheduled to ensure a smooth recovery process.
- Avoid sitting: You cannot sit in the first 10 days. You can lie on your back immediately after the butt lift surgery.
- Wear specialized clothes: Patients need to wear specialized compressing clothes in the first 2 weeks to reduce swellings and support the post-operative recovery period.
Complications of butt lift
Bleeding, fluid accumulation, infection, and bag displacement…. Are complications that can occur. But at a low incidence rate.
Your butt will completely subside and become beautiful after a month. But to be as beautiful as a natural butt, it takes 3 months or more. You can exercise normally after 6 weeks.
Generally, after breast augmentation, butt augmentation surgery is currently one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries. It helps you to be confident, attractive, and more happy in life.
